Bio

Dr. Don Ott is entering his 20th season as Commissioner of the Cal Pac, stepping into the role initially in 2007 and assuming the post as the conference's first full-time commissioner in 2016. Ott has worked in intercollegiate athletics for over 40 years, starting with his days as a student assistant at Washington State University, and including stops with the Pacific-10 Conference, the Athletes In Action world touring team, Oral Roberts University, and a 16-year stint as the associate commissioner of the West Coast Conference of NCAA DI.

He represents the Cal Pac on the NAIA's National Administrative Committee (NAC) and Executive Committee, is the chair of the NAIA women's soccer selection committee, is the Commissioners' representative on the Council of Student Athletes, and is chair of the Awards, Polls and Statistics national subcommittee.

Ott holds both his Doctorate and Master's degrees from Trinity Theological Seminary, and is a published author (The Last Object Lesson, Amazon). He served as a full-time pastor for 16 years in Castro Valley, Calif.

He and his wife, Lea, have been married for 38 years and have two grown daughters. Deanna is a New York-based performer with a Master's in Acting from Southern Methodist. Kaylea is a director with Creative Artists Agency (CCA) in Seattle and holds a Master's in Law from Arizona State.
