Westcliff Men Down PUC, Advance to Final

Westcliff (10-4-2 overall), receiving votes in the NAIA national poll, netted three first-half goals and pushed on to defeat Pacific Union, 5-1, to advance to the Cal Pac men's soccer championship match.

 

Martin Slastve scored twice (41 & 75 min, 4 goals), Jordan Di Lonardo (4th minute, #7), Lucas Rosell (30th, #4),  and Adi Vaknin (#13 in 60th) all scored for the #2-seeded Warriors.

 

Pacific Union's Edwin Zabala scored for the Pioneers in the 36th minute to close the score to 2-1 at the half.

 

The Warriors will meet the winner of #1 Stanton vs. #4 Simpson on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6:00 PM. The victor in the final advances to the NAIA national championship tournament.
