Cal Pac Player of the Week for September 28

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week: Iris Van Dalfsen (Simpson)
Van Dalfsen had a huge performance over the weekend as she scored three goals, two in the first half, in the Red Hawks win over Cal Maritime. The senior midfielder from Zwolle, Netherlands also took nine shots, six shots on goal and had two assists in the contest.

Defensive Player of the Week: Kayli Cokley (Westcliff)
In her Cal Pac opener, Cokley grabbed another shutout win with five saves recorded against Stanton. The senior goalkeeper from Folsom, CA also had three saves in a losing effort against NCAA Div II Biola last week. Cokley currently leads the conference in shutouts, goals against and goals-against average as well as total saves.

MEN'S SOCCER:
Offensive Player of the Week: José Diaz (Cal Maritime)
In the Cal Pac season opener Diaz scored a goal and assisted the other as Cal Maritime earned its first victory over Simpson by defeating the Red Hawks, 2-1. Prior to that result, the Keelhaulers were 0-11 versus Simpson, an unfortunate streak that dates back to 2015. It was the first goal scored against Simpson since 2017.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jacobo Trolese (Simpson)
The freshman goalkeeper from Milan, Italy continued his steady play as he had five saves on two goal attempts in a losing effort against Cal Maritime. Trolese leads in the Cal Pac standings in saves on the season. He is also third in save percentage and fourth in goals-against average.

VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: (Continental Athletic Conference)
Setter of the Week: Simpson's Brooke Sarahina averaged 8.83 assists per set for 53 assists in a pair of 3-0 sweeps for Simpson against Pacific Union College (California). The native from Ewa Beach, Hawaii added 35 assists in a match last Thursday and had 18 assists against Pacific Union last Saturday.
