Cal Pac Players of the Week for September 14

Multiple goals, wins over nationally ranked teams, and historic first victories in NAIA action highlight the Cal Pac Player of the Week selections for September 8-14, 2025.

 

WOMEN'S SOCCER:

Offensive Player of the Week: Westcliff's Amylette Lopez, a freshman forward from Los Angeles scored four goals in three games to help the Warriors to a 6-0-1 overall record. With her heroics on the field she was instrumental in handling Cal Tech, Occidental, and La Sierra their first losses of the season. In addition she leads the California Pacific Conference in scoring with six total goals.

Defensive Player of the Week: Westcliff goalkeeper Kayli Cokley earns her third straight defensive Cal Pac selection of the season. In the three-game span Cokley, a senior from Folsom, CA, logged her fifth consecutive shutout on the season. She had seven saves and gave up one goal in wins over Cal Tech, Occidental, and La Sierra to help the Warriors improve to 6-0-1 on the season.

MEN'S SOCCER:

Offensive Player of the Week: Stanton's Lorenzo Jacon earns offensive player of the week honors as he was instrumental in helping the Elks go 2-0 in last week's matches. Jacon's goal in the first half on the road at The Master's helped secure the win and upset, marking SU's first NAIA win as a new NAIA member. Jacon also scored a goal versus Nelson University to give Stanton its first win of the season. He leads the Cal Pac in goals (4), and is second in points (9) and shots (15) on the season. 

 

Defensive Player of the Week: Stanton's Gianluca Suardi, the freshman goalkeeper from Brescia, Italy, is the defensive player of the week. Making his second start of the season, Suardi held firm behind the goal to help secure the Elk's first win over an NAIA top-25 team. He had four saves against two goals in 90 minutes of action.
