
Cal Pac Selects Players of the Week for Sept. 9
The following California Pacific Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the conference Players of the Week for their performances during the period of Sept. 2-8:
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
Chloe Tague of Simpson helped guide her squad into the win column for the first time in three preseason matches, finding the back of the net on her only shot in the contest. The junior forward from Huntington Beach, Calif., provided the only score in Saturday's game at Bushnell (Ore.).

Defensive Player of the Week
Ali Razon of La Sierra was in the net for back-to-back clean sheets last week. The junior keeper from Moreno Valley, Calif., anchored a defense that blanked Stanton 2-0 on Monday and then played Whittier to. Scoreless draw on Thursday.

MEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
Demitri Rodriguez Robles of Westcliff netted the game-winning goal against Bethesda to secure the victory for the Warriors last Friday. The freshman midfielder from Pico Rivera, Calif., scored on his only shot on goal to help the Warriors earn their third win in four outings.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jesse Heredia of Westcliff followed up last week's Defender of the Week honor with another strong week in the box. The junior from Wilmington, Calif., had a huge save in Friday's 2-0 win over Bethesda, deflecting a penalty shot to secure his second shutout of the season.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Attacker of the Week
Providence Christian's Jacey Loewen guided the Sea Beggars to their first win of the young season. The junior middle blocker from Paso Robles, Calif., finished three sets last week with 27 kills, knocking them down at a .532 clip. She also contributed 14 blocks and nine digs.

Setter of the Week
UC Merced setter Kyra Miller quarterbacked the Bobcats offense against four NCAA Division II teams over the weekend and averaged 7.0 assists and 2.0 digs per set. The sophomore from Fresno, Calif., posted career-highs of 30 assists and nine digs in just three sets against Westmont and finished the week nine kills and five service aces.

Defender of the Week
Simpson's Katie Graham played a big role in the Red Hawks' two wins in three matches last week. Over 10 sets, the senior middle totaled nine blocks and 12 digs while contributing 16 kills on the offensive side.
