
Cal Pac Announces First Players of the Week for 2024-25
The following California Pacific Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the conference Players of the Week for their performances during the period of Aug. 16 – 25:
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
Soka's Ashley Aranda contributed a goal and an assist in the Lions' consecutive 2-0 win in the opening week of the season. The Lions defender, a junior from Porter Ranch, Calif., also played a role in shutting down both opponents.

Defensive Player of the Week
Soka's Mackinzie Stenstrom anchored a unrelenting defense that posted back-to-back shutouts last week. The junior keeper from Huntington Beach, Calif., recorded eight saves in the two wins.

MEN'S SOCCER
Offensive Player of the Week
La Sierra midfielder Rafael Rivera gets the nod as the top offensive performer with role in the Golden Eagles' 4-2 win over Bethesda last week. The senior from Riverside, Calif., was in on two scores, netting one goal and an assist.

Defensive Player of the Week
La Sierra's Christopher Aceves played a key role in the Golden Eagles' 4-2 victory over Bethesda last week. The junior defender from Eastvale, Calif., helped his squad limit BU to just 10 shots, only five on goal.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Attacker of the Week
Samantha Carelock of Westcliff was all over the stat sheet in her first four matches. The Warriors' opposite, a junior from Vacaville, Calif., finished with 27 kills, 15 digs, five service aces, and four blocks.

Setter of the Week
Lindsay Delgadillo of La Sierra turned in a solid performance directing the Golden Eagle offense. The junior setter from Diamond Bar, Calif., handed out 63 assists in three matches, a 5.25 per set average, and added 19 digs on the defensive side.

Defender of the Week
Ava Himstreet of La Sierra, the reigning Cal Pac Defender of the Year, started where she left off in 2023. The junior defensive specialist from San Antonio, Tex., had 52 digs in three matches (4.33 per set), as well as 17 assists and three service aces.
