Cal Pac Names Players of the Week for Jan. 15

The following California Pacific Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the conference Players of the Week for their performances during the period of Jan. 8-14:

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Valisa Millhouse of Westcliff led her squad to back-to-back overtime wins last week, averaging 13 points, 6.5 rebounds, and five steals during the week.  The senior guard from Inglewood, Calif., had 14 points and five steals in the 66-64 win at La Sierra, and then produced 12 points, eight rebounds, and five steals in the 62-52 victory over Embry-Riddle.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Xavier Cooper of Saint Katherine guided his team to a pair of wins last week, defeating Embry-Riddle and La Sierra to stay in the hunt for a Cal Pac title.  The grad student from Denver, Colo., had nine points in a 20-point win against ERAU and then followed that up with 20-point, 15-rebound double-double in a key win over LSU.
