Cal Pac Selects Players of the Week for Jan. 1

The following California Pacific Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the conference Players of the Week for their performances during the period of Dec. 18-31:

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Janae Turner had a huge week for Antelope Valley, helping the Pioneers split a four non-conference games averaging 22.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game and compiling a double-double in each contest.  The senior guard from Los Angeles, Calif., who added 12 assists and 11 steals in those four games, poured in a season high 33 points against Hope International.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

La Sierra's Tyler Broughton turned in a stellar performance in the Golden Eagles' buzzer-beating victory over Whittier.  The grad student from Ladera Ranch, Calif., totaled 23 points, pulled down six rebounds, handed out five assists, and sealed the win with the put back of a missed shot as time expired.
