Women’s Basketball Championship Bracket Finalized

Following a pivotal final day of the California Pacific Conference regular season, the six postseason qualifiers and the tournament seeding have been determined.  The Cal Pac Championship will take place this weekend at UC Merced in Merced, Calif.  The Opening Round games will be played on Saturday, March 2, at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., with the semifinals taking place on Sunday, March 3, at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.  The championship game will be played on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Championship Bracket

Antelope Valley secured its second consecutive Cal Pac regular season title, its sixth in the last eight seasons, to claim the #1 seed in the postseason, a bye into the semifinal round, and one of the two conference automatic bids to the NAIA National Championship.  The winner of the postseason tournament receives the second bid from the Cal Pac; if UAV should win the tournament, the second bid would go to the runner-up.  Joining the Pioneers in the second day of action is Benedictine Mesa, the #2 seed in the tournament.

Saturday's Opening Round games opens with a clash between #4 Park-Gilbert and #5 Simpson at 1:00 p.m.  That contest will be followed with the final game of the day between #3 Embry-Riddle and #6 Westcliff.
