PCC Hires Lengtat To Head Men's and Women's Golf

PCC Hires Lengtat To Head Men's and Women's Golf

Providence Christian introduced Marc Lengtat as the new head men's and women's golf coach.  He takes over the head coaching reigns from Rob Gurule and will be the fourth golf coach in program history.

Lengtat completed his collegiate playing career at Providence in the spring of 2023 and ecstatically accepted the role as new head coach this summer.  He had the pleasure of playing for all three previous coaches and has been a fundamental cornerstone of the program, so it was only fitting that Lengtat lead this program into the future.

Lengtat has extensive knowledge of PCC, the golf program, and each of the current players on the roster.  He will focus heavily on recruiting in the months to come to bolster an already strong men's program and restore the women's program for the 2024-25 season.  The team was thrilled to hear the announcement of their former teammate being promoted to head coach, as they each hold immense respect for Lengtat as a player and leader.

Gurule, recently named the head men's soccer coach, will remain connected to the golf program in the role of Director of Golf Operations.  This position will allow him to help Lengtat with many of the administrative responsibilities while Lengtat focuses on recruiting and coaching.
